Delbert H. Behrman
July 16, 1937 - April 27, 2019
Delbert Heinrich Hermann Behrman, 81, of Malinta, Ohio passed away Saturday morning, April 27, 2019 in his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born to the late Albert and Lorena (Schwiebert) Behrman on July 16, 1937 in Richfield Township at the Behrman residence. On November 15, 1958 he married Lorna Rosebrock at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township and they have shared 60 wonderful years together.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna; children, Tim (Marty) Behrman and Andrea (Todd) Thompson; grandchildren, Sarah (Adam) Sarka; Kyle (Nicole) Behrman; Cole (Chelsea) Behrman; Brooke Ohlrich; Taylor Ohlrich; great-grandchildren, Lydia Sarka; Hudson Sarka; Keagan Sarka; Lincoln Sarka; Nora Behrman and Evelyn Behrman; sisters, Loretta Schroeder; Annetta Rosebrock; Danelda (Robert) Drewes; Marjorie Behnfeldt; Darlene (Leonard) Rutter; Karen Rabe; brother, Herbert (Lynn) Behrman and many in-laws.
He was preceded in death by sons, Todd and Tom Behrman; his parents; brothers, Raymond Behrman; Robert Behrman; William Behrman; infant brother, Harold Behrman, along with many in-laws.
Delbert was a life-long farmer and enjoyed spending many hours working in the fields with his sons and grandsons. For 22 years he spent his winters working for Merce Boiler and Welding at the Toledo Shipyards.
Delbert took great pride in mowing his grass in Henry and Wood Counties. He also enjoyed spending many hours working in his woods and washing his cars.
Delbert was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler where he served in various positions.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. James Wenger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
His family requests memorials to St. John Lutheran Church or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
