George Lynn Bartley
December 25, 1929 - September 10, 2019

   George Lynn Bartley, 89, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 10, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.
   He was born on December 25, 1929 in Nickelson Township, Pennsylvania to the late Fred and Marie (Swiger) Bartley.  On April 3, 1948 he married Ruth Szoyka in Greensboro, Pennsylvania and they have shared over 71 years together.
   Lynn was a Point Marion High School, Pennsylvania graduate and worked for the Dudley Electric Company; JB Mundel Co.; and Singer Sewing Company, all in Pennsylvania.  He then moved to Deshler and worked for the former Columbus Bolt/Metal Forge Company, retiring in 1995.   Along with his wife, they owned and operated Lynn Bartley Sewing Machine Sales and Repairs.  They served their community and beyond for several years, finally retiring in 2013 at the age of 84.
   He attended First Christian Church and Assembly of God in Pennsylvania.  In Deshler, he was a member of the former St. Paul's EUB Church; Oakdale United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Harvest Fellowship Church, Hamler, Ohio.  He will forever be remembered and cherished as a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
   He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; daughter, Diana Tussing, Weston, Ohio; son, David (Nedra) Bartley, Deshler; 4 grandchildren, Annette (Rex) Benschoter; Christine (Tim) Tussing-Bean; Sonja (Kevin) Wright and Jason (Amy) Bartley; 11 great grandchildren, Kortni (Kelsey) Wright, Skylar Wright, McKayla Wright; Isabella Bean; Sophia Bean; Jason (Stephanie) Bean; Garrett Benschoter, Dylan Benschoter, Mason Benschoter; Maci Bartley and Ayva Bartley; and brother, Fred Bartley, Jr, Washington, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Darrell "Babe" Tussing; sisters, Mildred; Agnes; Delores and brothers, Carl; Don and Frank.
   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor James Erven officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
   Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and from 1-2 p.m., Sunday prior to the services.
   The family suggests memorials to Harvest Fellowship Church, Henry County Humane Society or the Donor's Choice.
