Harold "Hal" Rosebrook
December 1, 1944 - March 3, 2019
Harold William "Hal" Rosebrook, 74, of Hamler, Ohio passed away Sunday afternoon, March 3, 2019 with his family by his side at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was born December 1, 1944 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Harold and Valieta (Panning) Rosebrook. On July 4, 1970 he married Cynthia "Cindy" Robinson at St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler and they have shared over 48 years together.
Hal was a 1962 graduate of Hamler High School and then served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He worked as a machinist for over 30 years at Defiance Precision Products, retiring in 2013. He previously worked at Automatic Feed, Napoleon.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler and member of the Warren L. McIntyre American Legion Post #262, Hamler.
Whether it was working with his John Deere lawn tractors, traveling the country or especially making his family members wine from his very own vines, Hal always enjoyed nature and being outdoors. He also liked his Corvette and listening to Polka music. Most importantly, he will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; cherished daughters, Michelle (Troy) Hastedt, Continental, Ohio; Melissa (Jim) Thomas, Oregon, Ohio; 4 adored grandchildren, Elijah "Eli" Hastedt; Kalyn Hastedt; Elise Thomas; Ava Thomas; sisters, Barbara (Steve) Kenning; Brenda (Steven) Buchs; and brothers, Loren Rosebrook; Kenneth (Brenda) Rosebrook and David Rosebrook.
He was also preceded in death by an infant grandson, Andrew Hastedt; sister, Annetta Moore and brothers, Harvey, Vernon and Terry Rosebrook.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. James Wenger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the church.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
The family suggests memorials to St. John Lutheran Church; Hamler Friends of the Library; Bridge Hospice or the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society.
