Jimmie D. Lester

Jimmie Davis Lester, 72, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, March 7, 2019 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Ohio.
He was born on July 24, 1946 in Fedscreek, Kentucky to the late Julian and Alpha (Griffey) Lester. On July 8, 1964 he married Ruth Ann Starkey in Grundy, Virginia and they shared over 54 years together.
Jimmie worked most of his life in the coal mines of Fedscreek, Kentucky. Later he moved up North and worked at the Campbell Soup Company, Napoleon and General Motors, Defiance.
He was a very outgoing and friendly man. Always willing to visit and share stories with anyone. He was enthusiastic about automobiles. He loved going to car shows and over his lifetime he was constantly trading and buying cars. Whether he fixed them up or just drove them to show them off. Jimmie loved cars.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Timmie Davis (Ann Marie) Lester, Bardstown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Joseph Lester; Kayla (Brian) Yates; Ryon Lester; great granddaughter, Gracie Yates; sister, Judy (Danny) Abshire; and brothers, Rex (Sue) Lester and Rodney Lester.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lori Ann Lester.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral with Pastor Brad Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
