   Robert Joseph Collins, 90 of Deshler, Ohio passed away on Thursday afternoon, November 29, 2018 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler.
   He was born August 16, 1928 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late George and Lucille (Gordon) Collins.  On July 3, 1954 he married Helen Haselman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leipsic, Ohio and they have shared over 64 years together.
   Bob graduated from Deshler High School in 1946 and served his county in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  He worked for over 30 years as the area foreman at the former Dekalb Hybrids plant in Deshler.  He retired in 1986.
   He was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler where he served on council when the new church was built and also volunteered with the funeral committee.  He was a member of the Deshler American Legion Post #316.
   He is survived by his wife, Helen; four children, Gregory (Diane) Collins, Hicksville, Ohio; Garold "Gary" (Joan) Collins, Deshler; Jack (Emily) Collins, Napoleon, Ohio; Colleen Zernhel, Deshler; and 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
   He was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; a son-in-law, Daniel Zernhel; and sisters, Madonna Rouch and Mary Ann Collins.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler with Fr. Art Niewiadomski officiating.  Graveside services with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
   Visitation is 2-8 p.m., Sunday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will also be from 10-11 a.m., Monday at the church prior to the mass.
   The family suggests memorials to Deshler American Legion Post #316 or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
