Santiaga "Chaga" Carrizales

   Santiaga "Chaga" Carrizales, 87, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Friday morning, June 7, 2019 at her residence.
   She was born November 28, 1931 in Gonzales, Texas to the late Pasquale and Carmen (Quintero) Salaz.  On March 26, 1949 she married Macario "Mack" Carrizales in Waelder, Texas and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2004.
   Chaga retired from the Campbell Soup Company, Napoleon and previously worked at Cast Metals, Deshler and Napco Plastics, Napoleon.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed making rosaries for the Rosary Mission Guild.
   Chaga loved her family and will forever be cherished.  She was always thinkng about her family, whether she would sew and make them quilts or can her delicious salsa.  She enjoyed cooking for them and they will especially miss her tamales.  She always seemed to find the time to spend with her loved ones and particularly made time to care for her grandchildren.
   She is survived by her children; Rosalinda Maldonado; Jayne Alvarez; Mary (Wayne) Black; Amalia (Allen) Kreisher; Donnie (Elissa) Carrizales; Elizabeth Lopez; Mack (Jamie) Carrizales; 22 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 32 great great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Pedroza; Alicia Martinez; Anita Salaz; Martina Salaz; Faustina Rodriquez; brothers, Ramiro Salaz; Oscar Salaz and Jesse Salaz.
   She was also preceded in death by 4 infant children, Carmen; Mary Dolores; Edward; Jose; sister, Felicita Contreras and brothers, Jose, Pedro, Francisco, Nick and Julian Salaz and Cheito Quintero. 
   A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler.  Burial will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Hamler, Ohio.
   Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
   The family suggests memorials to Henry County Hospice or Deshler Food Pantry.
