Allison D. Marx
September 21, 1975 - December 26, 2021
Allison Dawn (Booth) Marx, 46, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Promedica Toledo Hospital after a courageous fight with cancer over the past 6 months.
She was born September 21, 1975 in Weirton, West Virginia to David Booth and Emily Renee (Allison) Booth. On June 23, 2014 she married Michael Marx in Las Vegas, Nevada and he survives.
Allison graduated from Oak Glen High School in New Cumberland, WV. She furthered her education with an Associate’s Degree in Business from Owens Community College. With this degree she worked at the former Claude Sintz factory in Deshler, Ohio. She then changed career paths and focused on nursing. She attended Northwest State Community College and became an LPN. She remained determined to better herself by achieving her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She was currently the dialysis coordinator at the Regency Hospital of Sylvania, Ohio. She was also a former EMT with the Deshler EMS.
Allison loved her family and she always looked forward to spending time with them and doing things for them. This was most evident in the love for her son, Taylor and his wife Shae. Despite her struggles this past year, she was so proud and happy to be a huge part of his wedding day. After her mother's passing in 2005, Allison took in and cared for her nephews, Alex VandeBussche and Tanner VandeBussche. She gave them a loving home and she was proud to have two more boys. She was also blessed with a great nephew, Emmitt which made her feel like "Grandma”.
She is also survived by her father and step-mother, David (Deb) Booth; sister, Lori (Joe) Feasel; brother, Brad (Caroline) Booth; step children, Tyler Marx and Jennifer Marx; step brothers, Rob (Amy) Searfoss; Rodney (Gretchen) Searfoss; Kyle Searfoss; Curt (Kristy) Searfoss; Cory (Heather) Searfoss; and aunts, Paula Jolley and Diane (George) Eskra. She will also be missed by many loving nieces and nephews who will miss her saran wrap balls at Christmas time and countless dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Renee; grandparents, Myrl and Nancy Booth and Errett and Emily Allison.
Even though her family came first, Allison also found time for fun with her devoted husband, Mike and their friends. Together they enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycle rides, days on the boat near Put-in-Bay and Catawba Island or just hanging out at West Harbour Marina at the Boondocks. Many friends and relationships were made there and she will forever be remembered as “Anchor Girl.” Allison was always making the most of her time with others. She specifically enjoyed karaoke and playing the piano. She will forever be remembered for her great love for her family and close friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Chris Walter officiating. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the Deshler American Legion Hall.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday prior to the services.
