It is with heavy hearts that the Fitzenreiter Family announces the passing of Boomer (Winrows Endless Boomin Bub), our beloved therapy dog, who faithfully served students and staff at Patrick Henry for six wonderful years.

Boomer was born July 23, 2016 and resided with his human family in Grelton, Ohio. Boomer's loyalty, affectionate nature, and joyful spirit enriched our home and hearts beyond measure. Whether accompanying us on truck rides, greeting us at the door with uncontainable enthusiasm, or resting quietly by our side, Boomer exemplified unconditional love and steadfast companionship. Boomer never met a stranger and he found his calling when he became a certified therapy dog. 

Boomer joined Patrick Henry Schools in 2019 and quickly became more than just a visitor—he became family. With his gentle eyes, wagging tail, and calm presence, Boomer had an extraordinary gift for knowing who needed comfort most. Whether it was a student nervous before a big test, a teacher having a long day, or a child learning to read aloud for the first time, Boomer was always there—patient, kind, and full of love.

During his years of service, Boomer helped countless students find confidence, joy, and peace. His visits brought laughter to classrooms, comfort to counseling sessions, and warmth to every hallway he trotted down. He was a steady reminder that kindness doesn’t always need words. Even while on vacations up north, Boomer would insist on visiting the school.

Boomer’s legacy will live on in the countless hearts he touched. He taught us the importance of compassion, the power of quiet support, and the healing that comes from unconditional love.

Boomer leaves behind his human family of Cole, Libby, Blythe, Kyla and Maylee Fitzenreiter; his furry little brother, Arlo and his co-worker, Anita Hieber.  Boomer will be deeply missed by everyone who met him. His pawprints will forever remain in our hearts.
