Belinda S. Botjer

Belinda Sue Botjer, 75, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the Meadows of Ottawa, Ohio.

She was born November 23, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Terrance “Tony” and Helen (Zollars) Firman.  On April 6, 1984 she married Arthur “Bill” Botjer at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler and they have shared over 41 years together. 

Belinda worked for over 29 years at the former Metal Forge of Deshler.  After the factory closed in 1998 she worked an additional 11 years at the Kohl’s Distribution Center, Findlay and 10 years at Wal-Mart in Findlay.  Proven to be a hard worker, Belinda will also be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a great homemaker, cooked plenty of delicious meals for her family and even made time for lots of fun.  She supported her daughters with baton competitions and dance lessons; enjoyed many family vacations to Disney and the Bahamas, and participated in several bowling leagues with her husband and the fellow friends at Deshler Lanes.  She was also a baptized and confirmed member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur “Bill” Botjer; children, Tammy (Butch) Tussinger; Jason (Denise) Kinder; Mathew Botjer; Krista Botjer (Nathan Photos); 5 grandchildren, Bronson; Tristan; Austin; Josh; Tyler, several great grandchildren and a sister, Daunita Greglor.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara; Francis; Judy; Sandy; Janet and an infant brother.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Belinda will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.  The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio.
