Carolyn "Connie" Leiendecker

   Carolyn May "Connie" Leiendecker, 99, of Leipsic, Ohio passed away on Sunday morning, December 28, 2025 at the Meadows of Leipsic, Ohio.
   She was born March 12, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Leon and Ortha (Buhler) Kohli.  On June 17, 1949 she married Frederick "Nick" Leiendecker and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1993.
   Connie worked at the former George Meyers Grocery Store in Custar, Ohio and the former Metal Forge factory in Deshler, Ohio.  She was a past member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler and the First Lutheran Church, Leipsic. 
   After losing her husband, Connie remained very active and thrived living independently.  She had her own condo at the Meadows of Leipsic and enjoyed the extended community around her.  Her family appreciated her for her strength and ability to continue to enrich their lives with her love and support.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
   She is survived by three children, George (Ellen) Leiendecker; John (Linda) Leiendecker; Ruth (Larry) Defuge; daughter-in-law, Jane Leiendecker; 9 grandchildren, Ashley (Braden) Boehler; Angela (Todd) Lee; Todd (Miranda) Leiendecker; Pamela (Chris) Magnall; Christy (James) Jay; Sarah Rode; Matthew (Beth) Leiendecker; Bailey (Stephany) Leiendecker; Jeff (Jenny) Leiendecker; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a brother, Dale Kohli.
   She was also preceded in death by a son, David Leiendecker; grandson-in-law, Todd Rode; sisters, Joyce Giacobbe; Virginia Struch; Grace Simmons and brothers, Donald Kohli and James Kohli.
   Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Trent Boedicker officiating.  Burial will follow in Milton Township Cemetery, Custar.
   Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday prior to the services at the funeral home.
   The family suggests memorials to Putnam County HomeCare and Hospice.
