Clara (Hanna) Dunn Buhler

Clara M. Buhler, 101, of Deshler, Ohio left her earthly home and went to her heavenly home on March 27, 2018 at Oak Grove Healthcare.
Clara was born on November 25, 1916 in Wood County, Ohio to Harry B. and Ada M. (Decker) Hanna.
Clara graduated from Jackson Township School in 1934 where she was class valedictorian. Clara was the last surviving member of that class.
Clara married Robert E. Dunn on March 3, 1940 and he passed away on Easter Sunday morning, April 2, 1972. They married on her parents 25th wedding anniversary.
On March 22, 1992 she married John S. Buhler in Lakeland, Florida. John had been a classmate at Jackson Township School. He passed away in October 30, 2008.
Clara was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert; a grandson, Donald W. Phillips, Jr. also preceded her in death Palm Sunday, March 29, 2015.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Donald) Phillips, Deshler; sons, Paul Dunn (Jan) of Findlay; Harry Dunn (Teresa) Deshler; two stepsons, Johnny Buhler, Tina Buhler, Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Tom Buhler, Cincinnati, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and sister, Ruth L. Gribbell of North Port, Florida. Clara had 5 generations in her family.
After marrying John Buhler, she spent her winters in Florida and summers in Ohio. She enjoyed being a farmers wife with husband Robert, her family, writing poetry, reading, cooking, submitting and having recipes published in several magazines.
Clara was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church for 90 years. She also was a member of the church women's group and church organist for 42 years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Deshler.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and 30 minutes prior to the services at the church.
Rev. Ruth Carter-Crist will officiate.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the services.
Memorials may be made in Clara's name to New Beginnings UMC or Gideons International.
