Connie S. Cohrs

Connie Sue Cohrs, 72, of Hamler, Ohio passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at her residence.
She was born October 15, 1952 in Defiance, Ohio to the late David and Janice (Mosier) Spurgeon.
Connie was a member of the first Patrick Henry High School graduating class of 1970. For many years, she drove Bus #5 for Hope Schools. She volunteered with the Hamler EMS squad, was a member of the Hamler "Wide Awake Club”; American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Connie enjoyed talking with her friends and eating out. She was an enthusiast for flea markets and lifelong thrifter. This led her to appreciate finding a good garage sale, craft show and decorating for any holiday season.
Her family will remember her for her talents as a crafter and seamstress. She could sew or make just about anything. This ability allowed her to make beautiful dolls and her collection was award winning and featured in newspapers and doll magazines.
Connie was previously married to the late Franklin Cohrs and they were later divorced. From this marriage, she is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Gene) Robinson of Bowling Green, Ohio; Amy (Alastair) Parker of England; grandchildren, Logan Robinson; Kendalyn Robinson; Eric (Gena) Robinson; Bryan (Leah) Robinson; Jacob Parker and Freya Parker.
She is also survived by a brother, David (Janet) Spurgeon, Jr.; two sisters, Nancy (Wiley) Wilhelm and Sandra (Stephen) Wilhelm.
Public graveside services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15th at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler with Pastor Meg Boger officiating.
The family suggests memorials to Henry County South Joint Ambulance District or Hope Services.
