Dennis “Denny” Bartosek

February 24, 1956 – July 11, 2020

Dennis John “Denny” Bartosek, 64, of rural Hamler, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 at his residence.

He was born February 24, 1956 in Defiance County, Ohio to the late John and Angeline (Wilhelm) Bartosek.  Denny was the younger of two children, his older sister, Joan Cavanaugh passed away in 1993.  He remained his entire life in the home where he was raised and spent many years caring for his mother at the end of her life.

He worked for several years as a cook and bartender at the former Corn City Bar, Deshler, Ohio.  He enjoyed taking time to fish and had a lot of fun playing golf.  He had good friends at the former Shady Acres Golf Club in McComb, Ohio where they spent numerous days on the course.  He will be remembered for being a very friendly and peaceful man. 

Denny is survived by his brother-in-law, Patrick Cavanaugh, Ottawa, Ohio; nephews, Randy Cavanaugh, Ottawa, Ohio; Thomas (Michelle) Cavanaugh, Gilbert, Arizona; Brandon Cavanaugh, Alger, Ohio and Bryan Cavanaugh, Alger, Ohio.

He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Timothy Cavanaugh.

There will be no public services and memorials in memory of Dennis can be considered to the Marion Township Fire Department or the Henry County South Joint Ambulance District.
