He was born August 2, 1934 in Deshler to the late Pete and Vivian (Zollars) Tussing.  On December 28, 1952 he married Carolyn (Wiedenroth) Tussing at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler.

Tuner was devoted to his family.  They remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He looked forward to attending the next sporting event or crafting the next woodworking project for the next generation of the family.  He made many clocks and 10 beautiful baby cradles.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carolyn; children, Doug (Joan) Tussing, Port Charlotte, Florida; Sue (Doug) Krauss, Archbold, Ohio; Mark (Robin) Tussing, Deshler; 7 grandchildren, Andrew (Danielle) Tussing; Anne (Tony) DeGiralamo; Laura (Rob) Price; Tim (Jodi) Krauss; Amy (Todd) Huff; Renee (Jason) Walgrave; Heather (Todd) Albright; 17 great grandchildren, Anthony Tussing; Lydia, Leah, Michael DeGiralamo; Quin, Avery, Jackson Price; Trey, Ethan Krauss; Hailey, Hudson, Hunter, Haddie Huff; Andrew, Caroline Walgrave; Dominic, Savannah Albright; brother-in-law, Louis Bremer and sister-in-law, Johanna Georgeff.
