Elizabeth “Betty” (Stoepfel) Eiseman, 70, of Deshler passed away on 2-20-2020 at 11:09 am at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born January, 1, 1950 shortly after midnight, making her the first baby of the new decade. She was born in Findlay, Ohio to Victor and Zelma (Goedde) Stoepfel of McComb, Ohio. She was an honors graduate of McComb High School.
She spent 30+ years at Metal Forge Co. as a general laborer and inspector. After the factory closed, she moved across Deshler to work at Sherwin Williams for 10+ years. She made many friends and enjoyed both jobs.
Betty was a spunky, devoted individual. She loved her family more than anything else. A close second was the Ohio State Buckeyes and coffee. She loved going to all of her grandchildrens’ events, watching to ensure her family was safe and happy at all times. She loved animals, silverback gorillas in particular, leading to many trips to the zoo. She was a devoted pet owner to cats Bella and Percy and dog Yittle. When she wasn’t with her family she was at home reading, watching sports, such as football or baseball,or eating burnt things with way too much mustard. She will be missed by all who knew her well.
She is survived by 2 children, Barbara Stacy and Angela (Philip) Ballow, both of Deshler. She had the pleasure to be the loving step-mother to Jeff, James, and Jerry Eiseman, in addition to Debra Watson, all originally of Bowling Green, Ohio.
She was a proud grandma to Dustin (Kimberly) Durain, Alexandra Ballow, Chloe Ballow, and Spencer Ballow.
She leaves behind loving siblings: Jim (Jan) Stoepfel, Gene (Elaine) Stoepfel, Dick (Becky) Stoepfel, Mike (Karen) Stoepfel, Tony (Cheryl) Stoepfel, Mary (Jack) Rutherford, Margaret (Russell) Thomas, Judy (Don) Cusac, Rose (Tom) Phillips, and sister-in-laws Jane Stoepfel, and Mary Stoepfel. She had many, many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Stoepfel, David Stoepfel, and John Stoepfel. In addition to her husband, Wes Eiseman.
A gathering will be held Saturday, February, 29, 2020 from 1-6 p.m. at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler. A short service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Meg Boger officiating.
