   Ellen Marie Petersen, 99, of Deshler, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
   She was born July 2, 1918 in Bartlow Township to the late Emil and Anna (Hoops) Rosebrook.  On April 9, 1939 she married Harold Petersen and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2002.
   Although Ellen didn't quite make it to the milestone 100th birthday, her 99 years were filled faithfully and lovingly in service for the Lord.
   She was a devoted homemaker, loving and supportive wife, dedicated and nurturing mother and adoring grandmother.  She was a faithful member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies of Peace, formerly known as the Church's Ladies' Aide.  She was also a Sunday School teacher for 34 years.  She was a member of the Bavarian Club. 
   She is survived by her children, Howard (Joyce) Petersen; Leon (Ginny) Petersen; Marcelle (Leroy) Caplinger; Harold "Butch" (Rhonda) Petersen; daughter-in-law, Barbara Petersen; 24 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.
   She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; a great great grandchild; sisters, Lillian Massmann; Charlotte Harris; and brothers, Oren Rosebrook and Andrew Rosebrook.
   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler with Pastor Peter Heyn officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
   The family suggests memorials to Henry County Right to Life or Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
