Elmer H. Stewart
March 4, 1950 - April 20, 2020
Elmer Harrison Stewart, 70, of Deshler, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was born on March 4, 1950 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Elmer & Alma "Midge" Stewart, Sr. On June 13, 1970 he married the love of his life, Pamela S. Fackler in Belmore, Ohio. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2019 after nearly 49 years together.
Elmer was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed participating in rides for "Make-a-Wish". He was a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Elmer worked at the former Metal Forge Company, Deshler for over 27 years. He continued to work for another 15 years at the former Consolidated Biscuit Company (Heartside) in McComb, eventually retiring in 2013.
He will be remembered as a husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Stewart; son, Eric Stewart (Lila Medina); grandchildren, Jacob Tackett and Kayla Tackett (Doug Tussing); and his siblings, Paul (Carol) Stewart; Rose (Jeff) Palmer; Jackie Strik; Roger (Cindy) Stewart; Curt Stewart; Tammy Shope; Mark (Joyce) Stewart.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Alma Stevens and Elmer Stewart, Sr.
Due to the current COVID19 guidelines, funeral services will be private for the family. Elmer will be laid to rest next to his wife, Pam, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
The family suggests memorials to Bridge Hospice or Make-a-Wish. Donations can be mailed to the Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, PO Box 196, Deshler, Ohio 43516.
