Evelyn M. Bremer

Evelyn Mae Bremer, 96, of Deshler, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler.
She was born on May 30, 1922 in Bartlow Township, Henry County, Ohio to the late Rudolph and Marie (Pas) George. On August 12, 1940 she married Alfred "Slim" Bremer and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2012.
Evelyn was a graduate of Jackson Township High School. She cleaned over the years for Oak Grove Nursing Home and Corn City State Bank. Her greatest work was done around the home and farm. She was dedicated to her flower gardens, was the primary caregiver and milker to the cows and cared for her husband, children and grandchildren. She even found time to sew and work her crossword puzzles.
She was a faithful member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Deshler where she was a Sunday School teacher. Along with her husband, they were founding members of Grace Lutheran Church, Weston, Ohio and members of Maumee Valley Sportsman Club, where Evelyn prepared many meals.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Bremer, Deshler; Judith (Mike) Benner, McComb, Ohio; Frank (Marilyn) Bremer, Malinta, Ohio; grandchildren, Karen Bremer; Cynthia (Mike) Brinkman; Kristine (Tim) Cole; William (Ausha) Benner; Emily (Ryan) Ulrich; Christopher (Angela) Bremer; Brooke (David) Amspoker; great grandchildren, Elizabeth; Jacob; Thomas; Alexandria; Zak Anthony; Jazmin; Carter; Isabelle; Austin; Kaleb; Bailey; Reed; Rylen and great-great granddaughter, Madilynn.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son, James and his wife, Lois; grandson, Paul Bremer and great granddaughter, Arianna Bland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. Peter Heyn officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
The family suggests memorials to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
