Glenda K. Weaver
June 23, 1945 – December 7, 2021
Glenda Kay Weaver, 76, formerly of Deshler, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 with her family by her side at her daughter’s home in McComb, Ohio.
She was born June 23, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Delbert “Jock” and Janet (Seibert) Kline. On March 21, 1964 she married Lorin Weaver, Jr. at the former Church of the Brethren, Deshler. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1982.
Glenda was a 1963 graduate of McComb High School. She worked at the former Tem-Cole Radish plant in McClure, Ohio and the former Abbott Company in North Baltimore, Ohio.
She enjoyed reading and was very gifted at cross stitching. She participated in bowling leagues at Deshler Lanes over the years. In her younger years, she enjoyed going square dancing and in her later years she enjoyed listening to “pickin and grinnin”. Much to her disappointment, she always was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.
Her family will remember her “heart of gold”. Glenda put her family first and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren as they grew up. She extended this love to others as well; she was always willing to lend a hand and provide care to close family members and neighbors.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Weaver (Everett Stevens); Sandra Weaver (James Smith); 6 grandchildren, Megan Moser (Jordan Torres); Aaron Weaver; Elijah Smith; Brandon (Molly) Chaffin; Jacob Stevens; Allyson Smith; 2 great grandchildren, Wesley Torres; Reina Torres; sister, Patti Ann (Bill) Bankey; brother, George (Ruth) Kline; sister-in-law, Fran (Bill) Snyder; and brother-in-law, Melvin (Cindy) Weaver.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Weaver; Michael Weaver, daughter, Ginger Weaver, two brothers, Paul Kline and David Kline.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, Ohio. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
