Heather N. Weemes
October 9, 1987 – January 21, 2026
Heather Nicole Weemes, 38, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday evening, January 21, 2026 at her mother’s residence in Deshler, Ohio after a courageous battle for over 6 years with melanoma cancer.
She was born October 9, 1987 in Findlay, Ohio, the daughter of Shawn (Wink) Wulff and Kevin Wulff. Heather was a loving daughter, honored her parents and made them proud beyond measure. She was particularly close to her mother and they enjoyed many adventures as mother and daughter.
Growing up in Deshler, Ohio, Heather was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church and a 2006 graduate of Patrick Henry High School. While in high school she participated in cheerleading, gymnastics and volleyball. She continued her education and was an honors graduate in social work. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Findlay and a master’s degree from the University of Toledo. While at Toledo, she was a member of Chi Delta Phi Sorority and the Theta Chi Honors Sorority.
She was currently employed at River East Dental in Toledo, Ohio where she was the office manager. For the past 5 years, Heather loved her workplace, adored her co-workers and appreciated working with Dr D.
In her spare time and quiet nights, Heather enjoyed reading almost anything.
Above all things, Heather felt her greatest gift was that of being a mother. Nothing was better for her than knowing she raised her girls and put their well being before her own. Even while she was managing personal studies, battling her illness or working, she was always there for her girls. Whether she was leading their cheerleading squads, running them to where they need to be, or just enjoying time together; Heather was so proud of them and hoped to instill in them lifelong values to allow them to achieve their own dreams.
Heather is survived by her three daughters, Chloe; Norah and Harlow; her mother, Shawn Wulff; father, Kevin Wulff; brother, Matthew Urban; nephew, Landon. In addition to her immediate family, Heather felt a strong love for her special aunt and uncle, Nedra and Dave Bartley; her childhood and lifelong friend, Abbie (Woods) Andosca; her dear friends, Heidi Sanchez and Dawn Perales; the extended Yockey Families and her canine companion, Joey. These people mattered the most to Heather and she wanted them to know how much she appreciated all the love and care they shared with her, especially when things were the hardest.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Heather will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, Ohio. The family suggests memorials to the Lucas County Canine Care and Control or to the family.
