Imogene A. Mansfield
March 16, 1922 - August 9, 2018
Imogene Aileen Mansfield, 96, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler.
She was born March 16, 1922 in Harrod, Ohio to Gerald and Mona Fay (Rader) Foltz. On August 30, 1941 she married Howard Mansfield and he preceded her in death in August of 1979.
Imogene was a proud McComb High School graduate. She retired as the secretary and payroll clerk at Defiance Metal Products, the former mailbox factory in Deshler. She was a member of the former St. Paul EUB Church and the current New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Deshler, where she was active with the Kid's Club. She spent time volunteering with Meals on Wheels; Deshler Blood Banks; Reading at the Deshler Elementary School; Henry County Red Cross; Henry County Hospital; and was Henry County Chairperson for the Republican Party as well as an election poll worker.
She is survived by her children, Edgar (Connie) Mansfield, Nixa, Missouri; Rose (Lester) Drewes, Duluth, Minnesota; Sarah (Robert) Van Dusen, Maumee, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Annabelle Williams and brothers, Waldo and David Foltz.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Richard Betts officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation is from Noon - 1 p.m., Friday prior to the services.
The family suggests memorials to the Deshler Public Library or the Deshler EMS.
