Jason "J-Rock" Clark
October 16, 1971 - July 23, 2021
Jason "J-Rock" Edward Clark, 49, of Hoytville passed away Friday, July 23, 2021. Over the past few years, Jason faced many health issues, but he continued to fight hard to stay close to his family and friends. He is now at peace.
He was born on October 16, 1971 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Richard Clark and Nancy (Davis) Clark.
On November 2, 2002 he married Diana Cortez in Hoytville. They have shared many blessings and have faced many challenges during their marriage, but have always remained by each other's side.
Music was a big part of Jason's life. He loved to play and listen to music, but especially the band KISS. He was also a big fan of the New York Giants. His greatest treasure was his family. He loved to spend time with them and he always strived to be the best father he could be for his son, Hudson.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Cortez-Clark; son, Hudson; mother, Nancy Clark; brother, Rich (Joy) Clark; nieces and nephews, Talia Cortez; Dakota Clark; Courtney Clark; Katie Clark; Jamie Clark; grandfather, Garland Franks; mother-in-law, Florentina "Tina" Cortez; brother-in-law, David Cortez, Jr. and special aunt, Ufemia "Phyllis" (Johnny) Cortez. Jason is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he deeply cared for.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Clark; stepfather, Robert Logan and father-in-law, David Cortez, Sr.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, Ohio with Pastor Russell Teegardin officiating. Burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
