John R. Suber

April 26, 1964 – December 30, 2022

John Robert Suber, 58, formerly of Deshler, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at The Gardens of Paulding, Ohio.

He was born on April 26, 1964 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Robert and Judee (Longbrake) Suber.

John graduated from Patrick Henry High School and enjoyed playing football, snowmobiling and riding his dirt bike.  John went on to work for his father at Deshler Metal Working for many years.  His father taught him the skill of machining and John developed into a very talented machinist.  After leaving the family business, John went on to hold several different positions with his last job being Head of Maintenance at Imperial Inn Motel in Lima for the past 3 years. John loved watching THE Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs football in his spare time.  His friends will tell you he will be remembered for his jokes, the ability to make people laugh and his passion for his Buckeyes!

 He is survived by his children, Delina Suber; Kathy Suber; grandchildren, Kassidy; Brylee and August; sisters, Denise (Randy) Schlea; Peggy (Brent) Musser; brother, Jim (Ladina) Suber; nieces and nephews, Cole Gerdeman; Robert (Morgan) Suber, II; Mitchell Gerdeman; Allyson (Francisco) Contreras; Alex Suber; Tabitha Musser; Nicole Schlea; Eric Schlea; uncle and aunt, William (Paula) Suber and many cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a step-son, Carl Engelhart and uncle, Leo Suber.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2022 at the Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Kelly and Tim Gerken officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. prior to the services in the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to The Gardens of Paulding or CHP Hospice, Paulding, Ohio.
