Julie Ann Ludeman, 64, of Fayette, Ohio passed away Friday morning, June 23, 2023 at St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.
She was born February 9, 1959 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Julius “Scratch” and Phyllis (Phillips) Van deBussche. On June 30, 1979 she married Timothy Ludeman and they have shared nearly 44 years together.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy; children, Benjamin Ludeman; Kimberly Ludeman (Daniel Smith); Mary Tate; Dallas Ludeman; Kenny (Anna) Ludeman; Richie Ludeman; grandchildren, Jackson; Marcellus; Mateo; Athena; Aurora “on the way”; brothers, Thomas (Leah) Van deBussche; Roger (Vicky) Van deBussche; Brad Jordan; Paul (Robyn) Van deBussche.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Van deBussche.
Julie was very artistic and enjoyed doing her own paintings, crafts and crocheting. She always seemed to have a project in motion. She took her talents and for a while she even operated her own silk screening business and upholstering business.
Her greatest gift and talent was her kind heart and generosity. For several years, Julie opened her home as a foster mother. Her love for children led her to foster more than 60 children over the years. She loved caring for her extended family and friends, especially opportunities for large gatherings and meals. She often would cook enough food to feed an army.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 12 noon at the Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Kim Repp officiating. Graveside services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to a possible foster agency or anything to help the needs of foster children.
