Marcine M. Thomas

Marcine Mae Thomas, 91 of Hamler, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her home after a short battle with cancer.
She was born April 10, 1931 in Arcadia, Ohio, to the late Arthur and Ruby (Strouse) Bundy. Marcine married Harold Thomas on December 7th, 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Later she met a special friend, Wayne McCabe and was with him for 10 years before he passed.
Marcine attended North Baltimore High School until she transferred to Bowling Green High School where she graduated in 1949. She was a member of Holgate United Methodist Church and a member of The Wide-Awake Club where she loved to talk to others and enjoyed the different projects.
Marcine worked as a librarian at the Hamler Public Library where she was known as Mrs. T. She started in 1970 and retired after 30 years. Students and faculty really enjoyed her hard work and dedication to the students and her job. To this day that’s what everyone has known her by and she was loved by many. After retiring she went to work at Bishop’s meat market in Hamler for a few years.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading books and was excited that she had to look stuff up on a computer for some of her friends. She would play computer games, watch Netflix and play Bingo.
Marcine is survived by her sister, Margie Rensch, North Baltimore, sons, Robert (Gina) Thomas, Fort Wayne, IN.; David (Kone) Thomas, Columbus, OH; stepson, Ronald Thomas, Findlay, OH; grandsons, granddaughters, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She has a long-time friend Faye Hagen, who has helped her out tremendously and she enjoyed her company as well as helping her when needed.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard Bundy, Richard (Dick) Bundy, Howard Bundy, Wayne Bundy, Jerry Bundy, a baby brother, Robert Bundy and stepson Donald Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Rev. Diane Simon officiating. Graveside services will follow in Marion Township Cemetery, Hamler.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Holgate United Methodist Church.
