Marilyn (Murlin) Gossman

Marilyn (Murlin) Gossman, 84, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Thursday evening, January 5, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Hoytville, Ohio on April 5, 1938 to the late Richard and Francis (Sheely) Murlin.  She met and fell in love with Fredderick Gossman and they were married on December 3, 1955.  He preceded her in death on December 7, 2008 just after their 53rd Anniversary.

Marilyn provided babysitting in her home for several years and also worked at the former Gastown in Deshler for 8 years.  She enjoyed bowling and playing BINGO.

She is survived by two sons, Frederick Gossman; Bob Gossman; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, John Murlin.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Gossman and Teresa Dunn; sister, Patty (Murlin); brother, Richard Murlin and 7 step sisters and brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Chaplain Tim Rabara officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
