Mary Ann Weasel
December 5, 1936 - June 30, 2025
Mary Ann Weasel, age 88, of Malinta, Ohio passed away on June 30, 2025 at Vancrest of Holgate. She was born on December 5, 1936 in Putnam County to the late Gilbert and Helen (Folring) Lammers. On February 16, 1955 she married Frank Weasel, Jr. at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, Ohio and they shared over 63 years together before Frank’s passing on September 5, 2018. Eighteen of those years were spent in Wickenburg, Arizona during the winter months.
Mary Ann attended school at New Cleveland/Miller City and was a lifetime farmer’s wife along with 18 years at Campbell Soup Company. In her younger years, Mary Ann enjoyed cooking for her family and most recently enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, Ohio; Eagles Auxiliary Lodge 2234, Ottawa, Ohio and the Bavarian Club, Deshler, Ohio.
She is survived by her children: Connie (Marty) Panning, Deshler, Ohio; Frank (Mary) Weasel, III, Wayne, Ohio; Dean (Brenda) Weasel, McClure, Ohio; Bernie (Sara) Weasel, Deshler, Ohio; 10 grandchildren: Katie Panning Spieth, Kayleen Panning, Kelly (Raymond) LeClair, Christopher Weasel, Kimberly (Will) Weiland, John Weasel, Matthew (Melissa) Weasel, Daniel (Stacey) Weasel, Gwen (Tim) McDaniel, and Brandon Weasel. Three step grandchildren including Amber (Jeremiah) Jones, Nicole (Keith) Neiderhouse and Matthew (Tina) Altman. In addition, Mary Ann had 14 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Herman Wolke.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Grand Rapids with Fr. Francis Mariadas officiating. A funeral luncheon will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall and graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
