Nancy L. Vance
January 6, 1955 - April 10, 2018
Nancy Louise Vance, 63, of Deshler, Ohio passed away on Tuesday evening, April 10, 2018 at her residence with her husband and family by her side.
She was born January 6, 1955 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Clifford and Arlene (Conkey) Spangler. On August 11, 1973 she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Thomas J. Vance.
Nancy was a 1973 graduate of Patrick Henry High School. She worked for over 37 years at the former Sherwin-Williams/Deshler Products, retiring in 2010.
Nancy was all about her family. Always in companionship with her husband, Tom, she loved attending all her children's and especially her grandchildren's activities and sporting events. Her life lessons and legacy will carry on through them. She had a bond with her four sisters that they all equally shared and treasured. They were truly sisters and no amount of distance could come between them. Her personal interests included baking pies, reading books, writing in her journals and taking time for family vacations. Her family remained center in her life and the love she shared will never diminish.
She is survived by her devoted husband and caregiver, Thomas Vance; treasured children, Thomas (Brooke) Vance; Jill (Kent) Seemann; adored grandchildren, Thomas "LT" Vance; McKenzie Vance; Gage Seemann; Kya Seemann; her constant loving sisters, Carol (Doug) Van Horn; Sharon (Roger) Haake; Pat (Gary) Myers; Jan (Jerry) Serda and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler with Pastor Alex Ruhter officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, and from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Patrick Henry Athletic Department made payable to Patrick Henry Local Schools.
