Norma Mae Peterson, 91 of Custar, Ohio passed away Friday morning, May 26, 2023 at Bowling Green Manor.

She was born September 1, 1931 in Continental, Ohio to the late John and Eudora (Wagner) Snyder.  On April 22, 1947 she married Herbert Blyth Peterson in North Baltimore, Ohio.  They shared over 68 years together before he preceded her in death on August 10, 2015.

Norma was a homemaker and very devoted to her family as a wife, mother and grandmother.  She also cleaned neighborhood homes a few days a week.  Raising a family with five boys, she very much enjoyed sports and watching her sons participate in them.  She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns.

She was a faithful woman and member of the Custar United Methodist Church.  Her family were also members of the Trinity Fellowship Church, Weston when her husband, Herbert was the minister for over 7 years.

She is survived by sons, Donald (Kathy) Peterson; Larry (Linda) Peterson; Herbert “Skip” (Judy) Peterson; daughter-in-law, Tracy Peterson; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Fran) Snyder; Ron (Janet) Snyder; Bob (Ruth) Snyder; John (Claudia) Snyder; sisters, Betty (Fred) Coss; Bonnie (Charlie) Clement; Connie (Ron) Inkrott; and special nephew, Rick (Phyllis) Sidle.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward Peterson and Michael Peterson; granddaughter, Lola; sisters, Judy Parish; Doris Meeker; Kay Ann Snyder and brother, Roy Snyder.

Norma will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at Milton Township Cemetery, Custar, Ohio.
