Norma J. Vogel

   Norma Jean Vogel, 87, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Ohio.
   She was born February 20, 1938 in Henry County, Ohio to the late Ollie and Jennie (Moser) Ruskey.  On April 12, 1986 she married Donald Vogel and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2006.
   Norma was a graduate of Deshler High School and retired from the former Metal Forge factory in Deshler.  She was one of the last employees to leave upon its closure.
   She was a faithful member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Deshler American Legion Post 316 Auxiliary.   She spent many years bowling at Deshler Lanes and was a local poll worker for Henry County Elections.  
   In her spare time and after retirement, Norma liked to watch soap operas and court television.  She was always a big fan of Elvis Presley, enjoyed taking a number of cruises and looked forward to spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
   She will definitely be remembered fondly and treasured as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.  
   She is survived by her daughter, Shawn Wulff; step children, Shelley (Terry) Flipse; Craig (Freda) Vogel; grandchildren, Matthew Urban; Heather Weemes; great grandchildren, Landon; Chloe; Norah; Harlow; siblings, Joseph Ruskey; Susie (Jim) Burkey; Nedra (Dave) Bartley; Steve (Sandy) Ruskey and sister-in-law, Diana Ruskey.
   She was also preceded in death by step son, Brent Vogel; siblings, Virginia Nagel; Richard "Dick" Ruskey; David "Ollie" Ruskey and in-laws, Junior Nagel and Louise Ruskey.
   Funeral services will be held at 11:30 on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Jim Brown officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
   Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the funeral home.
