Ralph E. Pendleton
November 20, 1942 – December 11, 2024
Ralph Edward Pendleton, 82, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, Ohio.
Ralph was born November 20, 1942 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Willard and Helen (Boyer) Pendleton.
Ralph was a 1961 graduate of Deshler High School and he served his country in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966. On April 25, 1970 he married Rose “Rosi” Schroeder at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic, Ohio. They shared over 51 years together and Rosi preceded him in death on September 20, 2021.
Ralph was a truck driver and retired from William F. Hoops Trucking of Deshler. He was a also a member of the Bert G. Taylor American Legion Post #300, Napoleon, Ohio.
He was called “Ralphie” by most who knew him. He enjoyed many years as an avid golfer, card player and could be seen cruising around town, out to the cemetery and often times with his beloved dog, Buddy. He enjoyed many years vacationing to Arizona. The Arizona trips would have to be a drive, often times with is nephew Dale, because Ralphie lacked the desire to fly.
Ralph is survived by two sisters, Sandra (Howard “Junior”) Powell and Carol (Joe) Bergstedt; his faithful canine companion, Buddy; nephew, Dale Powell; nieces, Sheila (Brooks) Elliott; Jill Powell; Jennie (Tad) Turner and Barbara Kinder.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Pendleton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Rev. Christopher Walter officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the services in the funeral home.
