October 23, 1934 - November 24, 2021


   Richard Allen "Dick" Wink, 87, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Promedica Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, Ohio.
   He was born October 23, 1934 in Deshler, Ohio to the late Harold and Nellie (Puckett) Wink.  
   On November 28, 1964 he married Judith "Judy" Diem and she preceded him in death in 1990.
   Dick was a 1953 graduate of Deshler High School.  He then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.   He worked for over 29 years and retired as an insurance adjuster for Ohio Mutual Insurance Company of Bucyrus, Ohio.  He also served his community as a part-time police officer in the 1980's.
   He was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Deshler and a lifetime member of the VFW.  One of Dick's greatest pastimes was race horses.  He enjoyed going to the race tracks.  Over the years, he owned several horses and followed the racing over all parts of Ohio and the midwest.
   Dick is survived by two brothers, Larry (Pat) Wink, Deshler, Ohio and Ron (Alice) Wink, Temperance, Michigan; 7 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
   He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Wink and niece, Christine Karnes.
   Graveside services were private and he was laid to rest next to his wife, Judy at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler with Pastor Chris Walter officiating the service.
   The family suggests memorials to New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Deshler.
