On October 5, 1963 he married Margaret "Peg" (Bichan) of Hamler at the former Hamler United Methodist Church.  Together for over 60 years, they raised three boys and have seen it grow to grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler and active in the church choir and the Jesus Builds Ministry.  In his lifetime he was always drawn to music.  He was a member of the Northwesternaires Barbershop Chorus for over 40 years and he also played and traveled with the Village Dutchmen Polka Band.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peg"; three sons, Matthew (Virginia) Schwiebert; Bruce (Karen) Schwiebert; Ryan (Jennifer) Schwiebert; 8 grandchildren, Michael Schwiebert; Marco Schwiebert; Margarita Schwiebert; Heather (Wayne) Campbell; Haley (Corbin) Brosneck; Dillon Schwiebert; Felix Schwiebert; Robin Schwiebert;  3 step grandchildren, Carrie (Anson) Wooten; Sarah (Ryan) Applegate; Joseph (Ali) Rosebrock; 5 great grandchildren, Jonah; Kay; Tulip; Tycho; Thalia; 8 step great grandchildren, Maxton; Maverick; Maylee; Madilee; Lily; Ella; Aurora; Josephine; 2 brothers, Dennis (Jackie) Schwiebert; Mark (Donna) Schwiebert and sister, Diana (Jeffery) Salisbury.
