   Sally June Heckerman, 84, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Sunday morning, October 20, 2024 at Mercy Health-Perrysburg Hospital, Perrysburg, Ohio.
   She was born on February 2, 1940 in Delta, Ohio to the late Rollie and Eva (Sharp) Rhoads.  She was previously married to Cloyce "Dutch" Heckerman and they were later divorced.
   For many years, Sally was a bus driver for Otsego Schools.  She also worked at the former J & M Club, Custar, Ohio and the Custar Tavern.  In her spare time she was an avid reader and loved to cook.  Her family will remember her for being a hard worker and a loving mother and grandmother. 
   She is survived by six children, Leonard Heckerman; John (Joan) Heckerman; Ted Heckerman (Heather Wildman); Anita (Walt) Shiffert; Leanna Young; Laurel (Fred) McCullough; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Burditt and Betty (Robert) Wenner.
   She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Oliver; son, David Heckerman; infant daughter, Davielee; brothers, Milton Rhoads; Howard Rhoads; Ward Rhoads; Rollin "Skip" Rhoads; Bill Rhoads; Terry Rhoads; and sister, Lila Rhoads.
