   Sarah Jean Sheets, 47, of Defiance, Ohio passed away Sunday night, March 16, 2025 at St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.
   She was born October 20, 1977 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late William Geahlen and Helen (Carpenter) Meeker.  She is survived by her stepfather, John Meeker.
   Sarah was a 1996 graduate of Napoleon High School and attended Four County Vocational School.  She studied early childhood education and was vice-president of her class.  She was active with the Future Homemakers of America (FHA) and served as a Hero Republic Officer.
   Over the years, Sarah worked at Continental Structure Products, North Baltimore; B & B Molded Products, Defiance and JAC Products, Napoleon.  She also was a certified nurses aide. 
   Sarah listened to all types of music, loved going to concerts and really favored the local performances of Nashville Crush.  Motorcycle rides with her husband, Matt and her friends made her days better.  At home, she needed to have pets.  Cats and dogs were always in her company.  She had a bit of green thumb and spent a lot of time working in her flower gardens and mowing the lawn.
   Her family will forever remember her for having a big heart that she used to love and care for those around her.
   She is survived by her husband, Matthew Sheets; siblings, Billie (Doug) Sheets; Michelle (John) Shurger; Heather Smith; Nathan (Alexis) Meeker; Tiffany Meeker and Barb Geahlen.  She was also the best aunt to Hunter; Adrianna; Addison; Brenden; Austin; Alivia; Nathan, Jr.; Ariel; Bella; Jaxson; Dakarai; Rihanna; Delilah; Katie and Kayleen.
   She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Brandon.
   A memorial gathering to celebrate Sarah will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
