Scott A. Meyer

Scott Alvin Meyer, 63, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Promedica Toledo Hospital.
He was born on October 4, 1960 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Robert H. and Hildegard "Kate" (Bostelman) Meyer.
Scott was raised in Deshler and a baptized and confirmed member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler. He graduated in 1980 from Patrick Henry High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. While serving his country, he was stationed in Germany.
On February 14, 1990 he married Kimberley (Palmerton) Meyer in Deshler and they have shared over 33 years.
For over the past 9 years, Scott was an over-the-road truck driver for Estes Truck Line, Toledo, Ohio. He previously worked for over 21 years at the former Randy Coe's Trucking in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Scott was an avid Harley Davidson fan, enjoyed traveling to Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, playing poker on his phone and cheering for the Detroit Lions. His family appreciated his love for Kid Rock, Tim McGraw and blue denim shirts. His family specifically recalls his passion was to work and to take care of his wife, his kids and his grandkids. He also left a lot of love and affection for his special canine companion, Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Kim; his mother, Kate; children, Hillary (Anthony) Kaufman; Heidi Meyer; Shyanna (Wes); Ralph "Dude" (Shannon); 14 grandchildren, Bailey; Bentley; Braxton; Olivia; Kenzie; Kynslee; Kaidyn; Haley; Abigail; Trey; Penny Sue; Nate; Adisyn; and Scottie (Scott Alvin) "on the way"; 2 great grandchildren, Novahlie and Aubree; sisters, Peggy (DeWayne) Wendt; Susan (Brent) Reese; brothers, Denny (Deb) Meyer; Michael (Joan) Meyer and several nieces, nephews and loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Meyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. Richard Sauerlender officiating. Graveside military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and from 10-11 a.m., Thursday at the church. In keeping with Scott's desire to be a simple man, the family encourages those attending to dress comfortably in blue jeans and shirts.
The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
