Susan "Tootie" Johnson
June 12, 1947 - January 5, 2022
Susan Kay "Tootie" Johnson, 74, of Findlay, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at The Manor at Greendale, Findlay, Ohio.
She was born on June 12, 1947 in Deshler, Ohio to the late Harry Eugene and Ida Marie (Bergman) Johnson. She grew up in a large family of 11 children and she always remained close to her brothers and sisters. This love of family was always important to her and she shared it in abundance to all generations. She became a beloved Aunt and the family member that was always there for everyone. She kept a close eye on the younger ones and made sure as they grew up that they stayed in-line. She used her gift of humor and her willingness to be outspoken to get her lessons across. In return, they all loved her back and the family always included "Aunt Tootie". She didn't limit herself to her family, if you were someone she liked and cared for, she made sure you knew you were her friend.
Outside of her family, Tootie worked for 40 years at Kuss in Findlay as a fabricator. She retired in 2011. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler. She enjoyed sports and was a proud fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Notre Dame and the Georgia Bulldogs.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Johnson; Joanne (Harry) Schendel; Robert (Martha) Johnson; Marilyn (David) Holloway; Marjorie (Wayne) Peterson; Jean Johnson; Ronald "Doby" (Thelma) Johnson; Richard "Andy" Johnson; Danial "Hawk" (Shirley) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Gary Schendel; David Schendel; Debbie Johnson; Scott Johnson; Tony Johnson; Michael Holloway and David "Crockett" Holloway.
